Record Dir Blazed Benchmark measures how quickly a Windows system can create and delete a very large number of directories.

The benchmark focuses on directory operations through the Windows file system. The final score is expressed in seconds.

Each cycle uses its own directory prefix and runs inside a temporary randomly named workspace. The workspace is removed when the benchmark finishes.

How to use

Place the benchmark executable in the location where you want to run the directory benchmark.
Close unnecessary applications if you want more repeatable results.
Start Record Dir Blazed Benchmark.
Do not open or interact with the random workspace while the test is running.
Wait until all 7 benchmark cycles are completed.
Read the final Your Record Average value.

Important: If the random workspace folder is opened in File Explorer during the benchmark, the result is considered invalid.

Understanding the result

The final result is displayed in this form:

Your Record Average:         12 Seconds (Lower is better)

The value represents the average completion time of the benchmark cycles. A lower value means that the benchmark workload completed faster.

For meaningful comparisons, use similar system conditions and avoid heavy disk activity, antivirus scans, file copies or other background workloads during the test.
